Here's my recent completed LPP based on Rob Romash's Poonker Cat Ministick, hence the name Poonker LPP. I drew out the plan outlines in accordance to the LPP AMA rules 2011/2012.

My build thread of the Poonker LPP is available here:-

http://malaysia-rc.com/index.php?topic=27311.0

AUW = 2.3g and needed 0.8g ballast to bring the weight up to 3.1g to make it legal. It is a real floater.

And here's a video of it flying at a mall (about Cat 2 height) near my home. Managed to get about 8 mins 46 secs with about 1,950 winds of a 18" loop of 0.085" Tan SS . Should be able to get longer duration with more winds & probably longer rubber.

I love it! Been thinking and deciding on a LPP the last couple weeks, this one's at the top of the list now!  The video is cool, at one point all four of the tips reflect light and give a great effect. Smiley

Thanks Bill! Here's a copy of my hand drawn plan in case you need it for your build. Feel free to improve on it. I'm using pigtail bearing bent from music wires.

For the prop outlines, I used a 5.25" blanks based Edward R Berray's Penny Loafer (and similar to John Lenderman's LPP Prop) with 23" pitch.
And I used 0.015" of 1.5" strip sheets throughout, overlapping join ala EZB props.

I opted for main wing dihedral at the 1st rib positions from either side of the center rib about 3/4" at the tip.

I'm impressed with the 2.3g weight! I don't think I ever had a LPP that came out that light.

Went fun-flying recently with the Poonker LPP. So far no touch flying in a Category 1 site (about 23 - 25ft high small hall), managed 7 minutes on 1,500 winds on 0.085" rubber. Quite happy with the time.

Here are some pictures to share!
