Great! Whether or not I can make it, I'll donate a prize.
Norm

That’s a great idea, Norm. Consider it done. The only problem is keeping track of the little brutes once launched. We might get a good crowd if we publicized it.
OFB Graham Selick introduced this model to our Club. His father and he had regular flyoffs in the yard with them. The Dad was referred to as the Old Goat. Hence the nickname at TTOMA.
This is a photo taken by Frank Perkins, I think. Clearly shows the potential of this little gem.

I have not ever changed the side thrust on mine, but I do Glue on paper tabs as you see here.  This plane has been flown the most, and this rudder setting works for a fully wound 20” motor. I launch it very steeply.

If you look at the wings on the upper BRS in the picture, you can see the hazard of trying to get cute and build a light one. Note the wing warp. One above that is worse. Heavier wood does not seem to be much of a problem.

Built this BRS years ago when Bobby Lang resurrected it into his PAL line.     Great little flying machine, still take it out once in a while; never disappoints.

Applehoney, is that tissue or film covering?  It looks pretty transparent.

Been awhile, but the Nats is a week away. I’m still game for a BRS contest and will put up a prize. GB (Volare) said FAC has an event for BRS? I don’t see it in the Nats schedule. I still need to build mine! Interested?

It IS on the schedule - TWICE!

It is on Thursday as an "NBM" (Non Blue Max) event - only those not yet attaining a Blue Max may participate.

It is on Friday for everyone.

Here is the link to the schedule:  http://www.flyingacesclub.com/natsched18.pdf

My VS Special (Victoria's Secret tissue) will be participating on Friday!

See you there!

OK, I see the problem! I was referring to the AMA Muncie Nats! Not FAC Nats.
If folks are interested, we can still do BRS in Muncie. Thanks, George for clearing this up!

Hi Norm,

I will be there, too :-)

One minor issue - there will not be a plaque for the winner - but I am sure we can still fly an impromptu FAC event - it's FAC tradition!  Find me and we will discuss with Mike Welshans (who is the FAC CD for the AMA Nats).
