I tried the Maxima 30 DLG without the DT. After watching the NFFS video I understand Tim's point about not crashing the glider. At first I think I was trying with too forward a CG to try to stop the stall but it would not recover either. I just broke the balsa hinge piece that glues to the boom but I taped it together for more tests.

Glides were getting better but sometimes it will go off to the right on the top of the launch and other times it doesn't which is when the chance it will lawn dart is greater. Even when it transitions right after launch, it seems to lose too much altitude at times. I can see this is going to take a little tweaking to get just right but I think it is going to be fun.
