A cute little electric Tomboy 36 on my building board. I really like the classics, and enjoy to build. Now that my Playboy Jr, flies well, it was time for a new project.

Very Nice build. I recently built one and enjoyed the first 10 or more flights. I recommend that you beef up the wing spar at least through three to four ribs off the center via carbon tow, web, ply etc. your choice. On my Tomboy finally after many flights the wing spar gave and broke in gliding phase and the Tomboy tumbled down from 150 feet. Was a of work to put it back together.

Thanks for the tips. The wing looks a little weak, so it will be simple to beef it up with some ply or carbon. Smiley

Any engineering spec's, like power system, servos, radio, wing span, etc.

All the best,

Cut it twice and it's still too short!

36" Wingspan. Engine Eflite Park 350. Propeller 7x4. 2 9g servos. Turnigy 12A ESC. Radio Spektrum DX-8, with 6 channel orange receiver. The main spar on the wing looks like it's made from some hard wood, like pine or basswood. So it looks more solid than the original balsa spar.

Took some time, and work. It was extremely tail heavy, and impossible to fly in a good manner. After rebuilding the tail, to non lift flat tail. And change to a 1380 Kv motor. I maiden it again yesterday. Suddenly she was a nice and steady flyer, that climbs fast and high. And floated nicely around over the field. Very happy maiden.
