I have a box of tan2 rubber that I got from the LHS years ago but the date is quite difficult to decipher. The store owner has written a price per metre across the date and I wonder if someone who knows about such things can work it out for me.

Thanks,
I saw that but there is also a feint '1999' just after the '00' which was confusing me. I'm not out to sell it or anything, it would just be nice to know.

I see now very faint.  I went and looked at an old box and based on the format  May 00 1999 means May 99 Smiley

I cannot distinguish between MAY 98 and 99 from the picture.
May 98 was a good quality and consistent batch though the energy was normal. So I like to use the batch for scale models.

I tried contrast and gamma adjustments. The last digit definitely looks like a 9 to me.
