Has anyone built Dr Forsters Mermaid. An appealing design and the picture of it taking off on Porlock Bay is very inspiring Imthink.
The plans are on Outerzone.

I seem to remember recollections in Alex Imrie's AM column years ago by someone who built one. The only bit that sticks in my mind is about it crashing into the sea

Thank you Bill.
Now you mention it I vaguely recall conversation with David Baker and maybe Alix Imrie many years ago. I did try and look it up in the Aeromodeller Index but that site/page is "not available" it says. But it could be me.

David,
There is an article in the September '59 AM about some chaps in Burma building and flying one. They had a lot of trouble that ended in tears. If the attached isn't legible I'll send high resolution scans to you via WeTransfer.
