Further to the photos posted in Dan's 'Big Cub' thread, here are a few more from last weekend's North Cotswold Fun Fly.

Dan's Whimsey (sp?) looked great in the air .... and flew very well too.

The question is, what do all these models have in common? .....

If the answer is CO2, the Whimsey is rubber!

Cheers and thanks again for the pics,

Today's 'Flying Aces' results are up on the Peterborough site already:

Looks like it was another very good one. Hopefully someone took some pictures! (Russ?)

Same website different part - my club Auckland MAC (AMAC) produces a monthly magazine called Slipstream which we share with the Peterborough guys.  Here's the link if you're interested in what we're up to down under:

Took my Bronco Billy out for a few flights yesterday. No adjustments necessary. Flew on 400 winds/motor. I only got a few seconds of the last flight before the motor broke and I didn't have a spare with me. Too windy to fly today.

I was flying this aftenoon and I am happy that my Nakajima is trimmed again. She was already nicely trimmed, but I wanted to improve it (just a little...) I never achieved the original setting again Embarrassed
But now it seems I have found the right setting after many flights, she circles again like on rails. This time it's enough, I wont change it again!

I also had my Tiger Moth with me, but she needs some more trimming. I might have a bit down thrust, I have to check the plan again about the suggested angle...

My glider flew nice, but the transition from climbing to gliding is realy bad. If I throw it in a shallow curve, it glides great. If I throw it just a tad to steep, it needs all the gained height before it starts to glide... Any ideas about a better transition phase?

PB Guy, funny I was just looking at this plane the other day I forget where but it looks like high dividends on a low investment! I really like this way of modeling!

Roman, it looks fantastic, you have managed to capture some good in flight photos.
Bit late for a pilot but will you add canopy framing?

Hi Roman,

Beautiful pics of your Nakajima!  Have to ask, how do you keep the four blade prop from breaking upon landing?

Hi Roman, that is a beautiful flyer you have. How does the prop survive the landings? Just truly a piece of ART.  Thanks for sharing.

Finally have the Sperry Messenger trimmed fairly decently.  Gurney flap did the trick.  Now to keep it in the small field I have access to.

Roman your Ki-84 is beautiful, and as has been said those are some great in-flight pictures.  Which plan/kit is this from?

Nicely done.
