I've been building the Mini-Quark after watching Skymon, but it didn't give detailed instructions as to the prop in an detail. Therefor I used the prop instructions from the K-777. It says to put the prop spar at 45 degrees at 2.7 radius. I get the 45 degrees, but what does it mean by the 2.7 radius? The radius of the prop? I just don't quite get it.

Thanks for any help,

Paul

If I recall correctly the K777 was a Living Room Stick which had a maximum diameter for the propeller of 7 inches.  It is usual to define propeller pitch by the blade angle at the three quarter radius point of the propeller. The radius of a 7 inch propeller is 3.5 inches and three quarters of this is 2.625 inches.  If one sets the blade angle here  at 45 degreees as suggested the P/D ratio will be about 2.35.
