This model flew ok but the duration was not great due to the short nacelles, when I build the next one I would put a clear prop on the nose and make small scale free wheeling 4 bladed props on the nacelles and a very light rotor assembly. Maybe I can talk Paul Bradley into putting the Rotodyne on his site and offer it as a free plan and tissue printing package like his other great models.

That's very cool Ray.  I'd be interested in seeing the plan.

Just to let everyone know, I am working with Ray on getting his Rotodyne plan available for download on my website at parmodels.com. I am in the process of redrawing the plan to make it easier to fit on printer sheets that everyone can support. I am including some 3D drawings to help the builder fully understand how to build Ray's excellent design.

I thought I would be finished by now but as so often happens, life events have arisen that have kept me away from the project. I have all of the 3D drawing work completed and about 70 percent of the complete plan package completed. Hopefully I can announce the plan package availability for download fairly soon.

I am happy to report that the plan and covering layouts for Ray's Rotodyne No-Cal are now available on my web site. Go to parmodels.com and then select the downloadable plans section. Go to the Free Flight page and then select the FAC No-Cal section.

Paul has done an excellent job on the Rotodyne, it is fantastic cad work, it makes me want to down load it, which I already did and I find myself wanting to build it again, we should do a cook-up on it.

Cheers and Thanks Paul!!!  Cheesy

You are welcome Ray. Such a nice model needs to be available to folks who would like to build one of their own.

Those are some of the finest CAD drown model plans that I have seen!  They have character and most cad drawn plans do not.  You are an artist sir!
