DESIGNING A VULTURE LOGO FOR MY GLIDER FUSELAGE AND A WING FEATHERING SCHEME May 15 2024
My whole object in researching these vulture designs, is to come up with a line drawing vector sketch of a side view flying, and a top and bottom view of the wing and body. I am finding there is a lot of different hues of brown colors, and I needed to stock up on my supply of "Wood Furniture Touch Up Kits" that have three large markers in it - dark brown, medium brown, and light brown - which I plan on using to color these sketches. I actually found good coloring sketch outlines of actual pics, and a couple of good artist coloring schemes, that I am trying out with marker coloring first, for practice, before the final rendition.
Yes, I went down the rabbit hole, and what a rabbit hole. We now come to the huge Old World Vultures, which are called 'Vulture Eagles', namely the four "Griffon" Vultures, the "EURASIAN GRIFFIN VULTURE", "RUPPELL'S GRIFFIN VULTURE", the "HIMALAYAN GRIFFIN VULTURE", and the "CAPE GRIFFON VULTURE" .
Eurasian Griffin Vulture 7.5 to 9.2 feet wingspan 14-23 pounds good artist color scheme and line drawing
Ruppell's Griffon Vulture 7'5" to 8'6" wingspan 14-20 pounds - the highest flying vulture, up to 37,000 feet above ground - even above the passenger jet cruising altitudes - good line drawing and artist color scheme
Cape Griffin Vulture 7'5" to 8'6" wingspan 15-24 pounds
Himalayan Griffin Vulture 8'5" to 10'2" wingspan 13-28 pounds the largest Griffon Vulture
