The TeaMaker was inspired by George Aldrich's Peacemaker and Clayton Smith's Teosawki.

The front portion of the fuselage and wing are constructed on a purpose built jig made from 18mm ply.

The tail and fin are made from Depron vac. bagged with 2oz cloth and carbon tows. Looks fancy, but it is just an alternative to balsa.

Here's a couple of pictures of the custom wing jig.  Made from 18mm ply, cut on a chop-saw.

The T.E. is clamped into place. The ribs pass through the slots and the D box is assembled on the other side.

The packing tape stops the glue sticking to the jig.

I love the modern approach to building.

This is my third design, using this method of construction. They are quite tough, not tough like a combat wing however.

Ideally, a foam L.E. Should be used using this method of construction. I do struggle hot-wiring foam, hence the balsa D box.

Fuel proofer drying, all that's left is to make up a set of lines and wait for some flying weather.

AUW 17oz. CG looks spot-on. very pleased.

Well, we had a nice, calm day yesterday and I was able to maiden the TeaMaker.  It shows great promise, quite fast and stable, The MK3 Oliver is still being carefully run after a rebore.

There's a few trim issues to attend to, nevertheless, a successful day.

Hello Steve

The TeaMaker has a definite resemblance to the Peacemaker as you say which I used to fly on Mitcham Common back in the late '50s. Gosh I'm showing my age  Smiley Smiley

Any chance of some dimensioned drawings-both the model and the jigs..?

I've never flown a real peacemaker so I can't say if the Teamaker goes any better. I want to get it trimmed and to know it a bit more before offering any drawings.

Changes I've made to the original are these-

Spars are a full 36", to increase the span to 41".
Tail moment increased by 1"
Tailplane enlarged by 10% all over.
