Title: junkers ju-52 bostonian
Post by: pepeimc on February 08, 2013, 11:08:03 AM
I would like to introduce this little experiment. I have just taken a ju-52 plan and copy-paste-stretch-shrink it and see what happens.
Not sure if it will look fine with these incompatible proportions of wing span, cord and length...

Will be interesting to see how it resolves from the 2D plan to the flesh.

After a lot of hurry-work I managed to finish it yesterday evening, just on time to fly it at our local flying session. I´m used to build peanut, it´s amazing how fast this bostonians can be built!

It came out a bit heavy with 15,5 grams (w/o rubber), but after some trimming work I think it will fly, although it will not win any duration competition!

Hi!
You could reduce the drag and the weight a bit by building it as the single engine Ju-52, but it certainly isn't looking bad as is!
Thanks for showing us.

pepeimc, great plane!
It looks clearly like a Ju52.
Hope to hear / see how it flies.
