Title: Comet Rearwin Speedster
Post by: jhnwdwrd on February 13, 2013, 06:45:06 PM
A couple of "Bones" pics of my Speedster. This is really just a practice plane as I havent really built anything like this for a long time. And it shows (LOL) so far it weighs in at 4 grams.

Geez, why start with one you won't likely get to keep?  I would add a bit in front of the motor peg for support.  Looks great!
Do that and you won't have that for long!
Strong work!

Thanks Dave. I was thinking of some V type bracing. The peg mount itself is a 1/2 inch with 1/64 ply renforcements. Maybe at the least some gussets ???

Not true, your build looks perfectly fine to me :). Your model made me look through my stash and I found 3 versions (Easybuilt 12" and 36" w/s and GAR 24" w/s). I've got to build one of those soon (probably the 24" w/s one from GAR).

Best,
