Title: Cardboard .10 Size Trainer
Post by: bushleague on June 01, 2013, 12:18:24 AM
Here are some photos of small trainer I built many years ago. I flew it for a couple of seasons, then sold it. Construction is 95% cardboard with some plywood parts where strength is needed. Its fully take-apart, which made it easier and less costly to ship. It was very stable in level flight but too heavy for any aerobatics. An equivalent balsa model would have been lighter and a better flier. I wanted to experiment with take-apart methods and alternate materials at the same time and also check out the hauling power of the FP .10 (a nice little motor).  Later  ... Ed Prohaska
