Title: Winter project. Playboy Jr.
Post by: Arne H. on January 08, 2015, 01:35:05 PM
Have not been here for a while. But here is my winter project the classic Playboy Jr, from 1940. With a modern touch. 950 Kv Turnigy motor, 27A MPX ESX, 9g metal gear servos. Wingspan 128 cm Weight 0.9 kg. A kit from Spirit of Yesteryear.
Flies very well with skis, but now the snow is gone, so I have to change to wheels.  ;D

Very neat plane!  That has to be the coolest flying field I've ever seen.  I'd probably slip, bust my ass and crash my plane!

Great looking Playboy Jr.I like that frozen 'airfield' that you're
using.You can do some ice-fishing,when you're not flying. :)

The lake lies 10 minutes outside Oslo center. Now it's covered with snow. Better to land, with our skis. :) And the Playboy Jr. is a very good flyer. Just floating around, using little power.
