Title: Ram Rod 600
Post by: Scottl0413 on December 22, 2016, 10:38:42 AM
Well after splintering my 5 year old RR 600 last summer I decided to build a new one. Attached are pics. of it. Covering is Polyspan and you will notice diagonal strips on the top and opposite direction on the bottom to add torsional rigidity to the wing. Wing after finishing with 3 coats of 50/50 dope was/is much more rigid than my previous RR600 wing without the diagonal strips. Engine is Johnson .29 stunt (small case). Flew it for the first time Wednesday at our Sod farm and within 4 flights it was flying great!! Put it away awaiting King Orange contest next week. Pics. attached.
