Title: Golden Age 1/2 A
Post by: Scottl0413 on February 12, 2017, 09:41:15 PM
Well hear in the states the free flight society has developed a new class for fun, It's called Golden Age 1/2A. that is for 1/2A models designed between 1960 and 1969 I think!! Engines are Cox TD 049 and 051's and Holland Hornet 049 and 051's only. Attached is my 1/2A Geodetic Galaxy for this class. Pwr. is the Cox TD .051, and total flying weight is 220 grams (7.5 ozs.) Should be a lot of fun!!

Good stuff.  I built one of those 45 years ago.

Saw about that comp.  Good idea, but zero interest in OZ.

I sold three 1/2As back in July.  No point in flying them by myself, or flying F1J with them.

Scott,
top beauty!!!! Reminds me of my own competition models of the 50ties in southern Germany, all Pylon, but Japan paper covered, fixed with dope and with tough Webra Diesels pulling them up.
Congratulations for this modernized revival!!!
