Title: Gizmo Geezer help request
Post by: FLYACE1946 on January 02, 2019, 07:59:56 PM
I have some that are installed already in finished nose blocks. How do you take them apart ?

Help me please and thank you.

Try this URL.  https://www.modelaviationproducts.com/products/gizmo-geezer-products/14

They stock the products now.  Maybe they can send you via email attachment a schematic of the system.

If you mean remove from the nose block when you say take them apart, it depends on how they were assembled. Here are some laser cut mounts to give you an idea of the cross section of the part imbedded in the nose block.

I guess Joe Joseph cemented the nose bearings  into the nose blocks. Guess I will keep trying to soak the pieces apart. Not sure what glue was used tho.

Take a small brush and try acetone. I imagine he used Duco or Ambroid  to anchor them in the nose block.

Thanks for the suggested fix. Still trying what you offered.

How about this. Just sacrifice one of those nose blocks- cut the thing apart. You should be able to get an idea of what type of glue  was used.
