Title: RE: Hawker Fury Biplane
Post by: deanz406 on January 10, 2019, 03:55:59 PM
I wanted to ask if anyone knows if the Hawker Fury, or other Hawker biplanes were ever kitted. I would love to have a .60 size W/ at least a 55"- 65" wingspan. I did find a plans service that had plans for a 72" one, and am looking into at least a short kit. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone here on this website built or flown one?? Thanks, Dean

There are some options on Outerzone - a 46" Hawker Demon (Whitehead) and a 37" Hawker Hind (Marsh).  These days its a mouse click to the print shop to make them any size you want with a cc to your local balsa cutter to do the ribs and formers.

Gwyn Avenell here in NZ has built a 1/4 scale Fury and knows all about them.   https://www.modelairplanenews.com/really-long-road-top-gun-7851-miles-gwyn-avenell-14-scale-hawker-fury/

He can be contacted through his business Avetek and may be able to provide some insights  http://aveteknz.com/contact/
