Title: Hummingbird Bowers Fly Baby
Post by: danmellor on October 06, 2019, 11:33:53 AM
I know I've got a shedload of builds on the go and I know I should maybe finish some before starting anything else. Couldn't resist this one, though...

Hummingbird Fly Baby. 26" span and destined for GM120 CO2. I may lose a few points for the printed tissue, but I don't care. Lovely kit of a lovely subject. Hoping to get it finished before the Nov.16th Alfreton indoor sesh.

Dan.

Looks really good Dan, I'll be watching this one with interest. The printed tissue gives a very nice finish

Fuselage "box" together. The laser cut longerons and spacers make 2 identical sides dead easy. Next step is plotting a motor mount/cowl break former before sheeting the nose and stringering the turtledeck.

Getting there! Just a few bits to tidy up before cracking on with the tissue.

I'll not be using those Williams wheels, though. They weigh more than my left leg!

Looking great, Dan  :)

If you get that done for the weekend I will be very happy for you .... but despair of my own situation! .....  probably check into a monastery....

Cheers all! It won't be done for the weekend, I'm afraid. Those mad bursts of activity are way in the past! Hoping to have that and another new model ready for next Alfreton sesh!

Nice one Dan.

Why lose points for printed tissue - what's it for?
