I'll be "gulled"!  This bird has really pecked my fancy in the scale scene for ages.  As a follow-up to my Mew Gull p'nut build and to join in on a "character Bostonian" cookup, I felt it fitting to try "modifying" the Mew plan to bostonian regs.

Whether or not it comes close to the weight requirements is NO problem - it'll be SUPER easy to get above the minimum weights for either class Roll Eyes Grin.

Attached are the prelim. drawings for your amusement.

Looks cool Pete! For a Bostonian it's not far off 'scale' is it?

I just had to compress the wing chord and the fuselage length a bit, deepen and widen the fuz a skosh, so it really IS still fairly close.  The thing that I'm still not sure of is the "glassed" area requirement.

The rules state that the windshield/side windows must be one square inch each.  The canopy front should meet the requirement, but I haven't measured the section that would comprise the "side" windows.

Thats a neat idea Pete. It doesn't look all that bad.

Thanks John!  I didn't mean to imply that it was not good, just kinda UN-Bostonianish = lacking the typical "character" seen in the scale spoofs.  I'll have to build one to see how it comes out - or find someone to do a BETA-build (I've been kinda busy lately, and was just notified that my oldest is planning to move back to Germany).

I may have misled you a bit there Pete - i slipped into a bit of OZ phrasing. For us to say "its not bad" actually means it's pretty good Grin.
"Not too bad" means its actually quite good Cheesy
Just to confuse the masses outside OZ.

So, are you guys going to build it?  I'd like to see what it'll look like in stick and tissue.
