peter-yes I realise it was drawn up for the northern diesel class.Likewise mine will be flown in our Kiwi Power 1.5cc plain bearing diesel only class.Mine was built from his original A4 3-view drawing-the copy I have is genuine ink, not a photocopy-so one of his originals. [Don't know why he sent me an original a photocopy would have been fine!]  I recall I had to go back to him as a few pieces of key info were missing from the accompanying letter, and in a subsequent letter he filled out quite a bit of background detail, such as engine revs on the prop he was using, warps etc. He obviously had a particularly potent Frog 150 and AM 15 in his ones........
  Personally I'd like to put a Cipolla ABC 1.5D in mine-if I had one...........but a PAW will have to suffice!

Well after the fuel tank sprung a leak melting the epoxy holding on the front bulkhead I have rebuilt the front end with 3/8" sq bearers and reinforced it all with a little fiberglass,no side or down thrust.
The remote needle went because I could not get it to shut down without a burble and the venturi is now 4mm with peripheral jets and a Enya 4mm needle valve.

They sure do the OS 25 in the T Bird runs well using the black bladder material from TT`s,I just open the fuel clip as I hit the starter and off she goes,if they do not burst they are a lot cleaner to use and less fuel is wasted,shame TT do not sell their pacifiers anymore,the bladder fittings on the Brodak site look good.
The tank was made from a lolly tin and not one of my best efforts,we use suction so diesels (which get a 2 second longer run) are still competitive,I prefer glows.

Going through old interesting articles and I found the mention of an 09 T34 plan details by ffkiwi & pee tee. Anybody have any info on this please.

The plan is on outerzone but is a bit large for an 09. It is a SLOP model for up to 3.5cc and is 63" span.

Look at my reply in No 74. I said that the reduced sized model appeared in NAFF News 2002 and if I get the chance I'll see whether I've still got the issue.

Thanks Ron, I have a T34 plan. Hiya Pee Tee, I did see that about  NAFF News 2002. But I haven’t got that and wondered if it had come to light anywhere else in this time. Thanks for looking though.

Well, what a surprise - I found it!

Ten minutes of one arm rummaging and it appeared. It is called the T34 No 4 AM 15, designed for British Power (small slow open power) and the the span is 50 1/2".
I note that Hippo came 1st with this model in a Combined Power class at Middle Wallop in December 01 or 02 against 22 other power flyers - those were the days!

I'll send Wayne an email and pop it in the post.

I have the drawing-a Hipperson original-plus details in the accompanying letter....i'll have to dig them out though. From memory Dave's original was powered by a 'very good Frog 150' [Dave's words...]-leading me to suspect that it might have been tweaked a bit...Dave being on good terms with people like Tony Eifflander and others....

 mine-which as stated earlier was lost on its 4th ever flight at our nats, despite a beacon, had a very good bluehead PAW 149 up front. I kept-as is my wont -full details during construction, so i'll post those as well along with the drawing-though YMMV,

PS FWIW-I'm currently exploring a different approach -as our NZ rules specify 'up to 1.5cc'   so you can use smaller engines if you like. the current line of exploration is an APS Zeus -with an original  Taifun hobby up front....now these are lighter than a PAW 80 or 100 and quite powerful. On something like a master 7x3 I expect to be quite potent....
