Richard Hewitt> Hawker Audax...
That's lovely.

Richard Hewitt> Nobody ever seems to model the Moazgotl!
Well I think it's an ugly old bus.  Wings like Denis Healey's eyebrows and struts, but some people seem to like them ....

http://www.rc-segelfliegen.de/html/moazagotl.html

... no accounting for taste. Smiley

Ah yes, thanks Lurk, Dennis Healy MP, the Chancellor who somehow thought an income tax rate of 97% was a good idea.......
.....and yet people still seem to recall that his eyebrows were his most memorable feature, go figure!

Back to model aircraft (please).

The Audax is lovely.

I modified a Guillow Spitfire that when I had built the original kit and it flew like a rock.  I redrew it to lighten up as much as possible and used my laser to cut the parts.  This is the finished product.  It weighs in a 19 grams but it will probably need 3 grams of nose weight......not sure if I accomplished what I was attempting we'll see how it flies.  I could have made it much lighter if hadn't tried to add details.  The wheels I put on were printed from a real Spitfire that I printed on tracing paper and used my craft cutter to cut them out.  I did the same with the markings.

Can't ascertain the location for the rear peg, but if it is just forward of the fuselage roundel, you might need much less nose weight.

That is a very smart looking SE5a Bill. Looks like it should be bigger than it is ... If I remember, it's the same size as the original McHard plan ? 27" ?

Thanks all. Yes, it's the original 27" - it's a small table!

Bill's models always look so crisp and neat.  How many SE5's have you made Bill?

Hello Ralph. This one, a VMC, an enlarged rubber version of this one and any number of KK 3/9d ones in the late 1950s! Never a Veron though - don't know why.

I thought that it was in double figures.

Finished the Miles Sparrowhawk today.  Quite pleased with the weight, 14g balanced without rubber.  Hopefully it will fly as good as it looks!  Hmm...might need a pilot.

Mike,
What a nice build, it really captures the elegance of the full size. At 14 gm it should be a floater and the prop has the right provinance from Don De Loach. I really look forward to the flying shots.
