Howdy,

I saw on the website a F4u made by PDK LLC. I've never heard of that company. Other than the plan is there any photos of what is in the kit or what it looks like finished?

Thank you

It is a Pat king kit based on the old Sterling beginner series. The packaging isn't the slickest (no fancy box or pictures). But he makes nice kits.

Pat's a member of the cottage industry.  I have one of his Ringmaster Sportster kits, and I'm positively impressed.

I have sold almost a dozen and K&B sold an unknown amount of them but I havent heard any reports back on how they run for folks.
They are a modified Sportster engine and I know it takes a bit of break in then they run good. Also just a heads up. We will be having a Black Friday weekend sale. No huge door busters but there will be some nice savings.

Same as the Sportster .28 of old. Not a fire breather but a solid engine.

What's modified about them Bob-do you know? [I ask because I have a number of 20s and 28 Sportsters that could be put to good use in C/L.....]

Pulled off the carb put on a venturi, different spray bar, needle valve moved (angles away from the prop). And I am not sure if there is any other changes.

Thanks for the info Bob-mine are already fitted with venturis-so may be usable as is (depending on how they handle the fuel draw issues....no big deal to machine up a venturi restrictor if required)
