This is a good one for those of us that can`t throw as hard as we used to.I used 3/16 balsa for the wing on my first one-red tips and it weighed 25g,stall recovery is very good.
Due to a bad shoulder I launch fairly shallow nowadays,I am also a leftie and launch with the wings angled to the left and it transitions to the right for glide.
I built a heavier one with a 1/4 wing and a spruce fuse-32g looking for more height on launch but it doesn`t fly as well as the 3/16 wing all balsa version.
Plan comes from a American Modeller mag from the sixties,I put finger grips on both sides and try each - finger position can be used as a form of launch trimming.
Having no nose it can`t be broken off and is safer.

I also built several of the Sixty gliders . I really liked them and used them
for warm up gliders . I'd get them out at a meet and start throwing them
to loosen up the old arm. Always flew very well. Finally converted one to
catapult.. and promptly lost it OOS. Nice looking gliders.
