Craig, For making your own stripper take a look at Marcel Lavoie's design: http://www.newg.info/tips.htmlI don't have made one myself, so I can't comment on it's usability.

Hi Craig If you want a rubber stripper to help with Indoor flying then I think you would be well advised to buy a 'proper' one. I think you would be very unlikely to make a satisfactory one yourself until after you had made many unsatisfactory attempts - and that assumes that you have a decent engineering workshop to start with! There are two strippers that have been on the market for years and of both highly thought of, The 'Polish' stripper and the Ray Harlan stripper. I bought the Polish one which cost 90 euros. The contact information is below: Edward Ciapala Kowale 130 43-430 Skoczow Polen (please note that there is an acute accent over the second 'o' in Skoczow which I cannot produce here in plain text.) His email is: [email protected]Being in the United States you will probably go for the Ray Harlan. I don't have contact information to hand but I am sure that someone on that side of the pond can give some guidance. John

That's a Harlan stripper.
Also for everyone's knowledge Edward Ciapala's stripper, EUR75, is still available, just got mine a few days ago. Spare blades are EUR10, he know receives payment via TT.

Telegraphic Transfer? If that is the definition then it's still a killer from the UK as the banks have a 30 Eur minimum charge - makes a good value item quite expensive.

When I emailed Edward a year or so ago to inquire if the units were still available, I believe he mentioned PayPal as a viable transfer. I'll have to dig up the reply.

Yup, TT = Telegraphic Transfer! The local bank here charged me EUR5 for the TT transaction to Poland but the receiving bank charged EUR20 to credit the funds into Edwards account. I emailed him about paying via paypal but he replied and gave bank details for TT. Here is the Ciapala beside the Harlan!.....Anyone want to sell a Geauga? I just stripped a 0.010" motor...SUPER easy and it came out nice, one full turn of the right dial moves 010"....HIGHLY recommended! Regards

I was Googling DIY rubber strippers, and found the video link that shadow provided. It sure looks like the fellow in the video is getting good results with a relatively simple device. Perhaps not precise enough for F1D, but maybe Peanut or Dime Sale?
