Beautiful Monz, I really hope we get to see this flying soon. Old Warden maybe?

Thanks guys! It's been a very enjoyable build.

Jon, I'm definitely going to be at OW. Hope to get test flights done before that. But with this weather I'm not going to rush it, I want a field with nice long grass for this thing!

Great build Monique  Smiley ... I wish I could be anywhere near as productive as you have been lately.

Look forward to the Old Warden visit.

Very nice Monique.

I do hope flight trimming etc. happens without serious incident.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Flight testing will be a while still with this weather!

Weight without rubber is 140.4g, not going to be a floater but not too bad me thinks!

Also took the Comet out, here's the first flight, one loop 3/16th in each with 100 hand winds. Shows promise too, just need a bigger field to crank in more winds.

Saw a trailer for the new Disney movie "Planes"

I was a little surprised to see a DH-88 (voiced by John Cleese, of course!) as one of the characters.

I was a little perplexed as to why the GB R-1 has a Latin accent, though:

Maybe it is not the R-1, but the R-6 "Q.E.D.", currently named "Conquistador del Cielo" and restored in a museum in Mexico City?

It pains me to ask. But how bad was the damage.

All the best,

Not that bad actually Konrad. On a few previous test lobs the bottom of the nacelles were damaged which I've replaced with balsa block. The damage from Old Warden was just the front bay of stringers from the first to second formers. I'll replace those and then plank/block it in and carve it to shape. Will add lots more strength.

Video NOT AVAILABLE on youtube. I know I'm years later but I'd like to see how it flew if possible. Very nice model.

Thanks,
