Started this today. It is enlarged stick and tissue plans from Today's Hobby. I put the water bottle in to give it some scale.

Jim,
TH is owned and manufactured by Shrive and seem to be only available thru Penn Valley (6 kits). Wouldn't mind getting ahold of those plans, tho. The kits seem very similar to the Guillow's static scale jets.

Yes, they are just like the Guillows kits. It was enlarged till it looked good. I will be cutting foam wings and using balsa sheet fin and stab. The airframe will be strip planked and glassed. After its planked the formers will be trimmed to fit the power system ( not yet decided on).

This is what I have so far. The top half is strip planked will be filled and sanded. Was going to do a lot more this weekend but instead I will be visiting the AMA expo this weekend.

planking, how bold! I did that to a T33 peanut display model and getting the curves took real work and care. I used meat tray foam for wings and thin sheet foam for tails. The three of them turned out ok as my customers were pleased.

I like the planking method due to the fact I am kind of a sloppy builder. It allows me to sand the airframe to shape rather than cutting out formers and skinning them perfect (the sanding is kind of therapeutic).
I have three builds in progress and just ordered some F-4 phantom plans from RCM plans. I have read a few old reviews of it stating it comes out way to heavy. I think I can put it on a diet and with current light weight electronics it will be cool.
The builds I currently have going are the A-10, F-18, and a MIG 15. If anyone is interested in MIG I can post pics. The MIG is the large RT kit and I have a 100mm edf going in it. Same with the F-4, if there is an interest in it I will post the build but that one is going to have a ramtec fan and K&B 100 for power (maybe).
