I am very sorry to report that Stafford passed away in hospital this morning.

His achievements on the f/f field in terms of contest successes are legendary, but his record of team places, and particularly consecutive team places is absolutely extraordinary, and will never be beaten, I am sure.

A gentleman too, in all respects.
He will be greatly missed.

The passing of George Fuller was of course bad enough news .... now Stafford.
As with George, I did not know him to speak to, but I have seen him at many meetings .... very sad.

RIP Stafford.   I was lucky enough to have met up with him at a couple of WCs.

Have also just heard via phone that Ken Oliver has passed away.  I purchased Rossi mounts from him I guess in the '70s. RIP Ken.
