Hello all. The Invader has a thick symmetrical tail section. What's the idea behind that please, and does it make any likely difference? The last time I had to build something like this, it was a Peacemaker

From the hook position I would think the CG is well forward and so the tail is not doing much. A symmetrical section would give the least drag for a zero lift incidence.

Ron, if I flat-bottomed the section, would I need to move the hooks for a 50% cg? (the plan shows 40%)

An appreciable CG shift would require a revision of tow hook position - an adjustable hook assembly would be advantageous.

You would not need to adjust the CG position, just the TP incidence but if you did move it you would have to move the hooks as Applehoney says.
