and finally, a glider (sorry, no name or type).

Gliders seemed to be the next new thing for the indoor nats. Should be interesting to see how it evolves...

And last shot, from the closing ceremony...

Thank you Andy and all the rest of the team !

Thanks for all that George, it's a fascinating and great record of the event.

The glider is mine, by the way. It was built to see if it was possible to fly a glider indoors, to research launch methods and to see how it can be scored. The current BMFA schedule fits the latter goal and you should have witnessed the first two at Nottingham. It's a Veron Slingsby Prefect Mk1, and from next year, it should be eligible for Kit Scale.

Hi George,

Nice pics! I meant to say hello on the day, but every time I looked up, you were deep in conversation!

Cheers,

Dan.

Hi Dan,

deep in conversation or deep in consternation ?  Sad

You should have come, nonetheless... I should have also...

Andy, I thought it was your glider, I just didn't want to write anything stupid.

I just uploaded my first video from the event, the 3rd flight of the d.H.9. Video was taken by Andre Petit while I was busy making the flight.

The should have built the right side wall 1m further to the right... And another meter in case the model would manage amother lap  Grin

On the 4th flight I let it go from furter to the left, for extra space. Little did I know that the d.H. 9 would go streat and to the right

Thanks Sotiris, it is a pity you weren't there, you would have liked it very much...

Done with the photographs, still have some videos which I will post at a slower pace...

Joe Rabicano, the sole junior entrant at the Nats, in Kit scale. Did not catch the first flight that qualified, but still a nice flight  Wink
