Hi friends,

4th october 2013 I`ve got the maidenflight with my new Moazagotl. The original from 1934 - construction Wolf Hith, manufactor Schneider/Grunau Germany - was a "high tech glider" and some pilots won many glider-competions. With a wingspan of 20m Moazagotl was 1934 one of the largest glider of the world.

This model of Moazagotl has a wingspan of 6.666 m ( 262" ) = scale 1:3 and a weight of 18 Kg ( 36 pounds) , construction = sandwich balsa/plywood, finishing = clearpaint for the fuselage, wings and horizontal/vertical stabilizer covered with "oracover antik" , spring loaded plywood landing skid, turnable wing-struts = early airbrakes, cockpit complete with panel and pilot, clutch   like the original "TOST-clutch" - for better transport the wing is quartered

Moazagotl is a fantastic flying oldtime-glider with priority of thermal flying and looks great in the air.

Cheers

I notice in the second photograph you have posted there are two small children. Can I assume you strap them in the cockpit one at a time and they fly the glider - it certainly looks big enough!  Cheesy
By the way - a fantastic model - congratulations.

Dear Achim
Beautiful aeroplane, is the basis from which the Minimoa was developed? It's my most loved aeroplane and I would love to see two models to the same scale, one of each, flying together. If you know of any video or pictures of this I would be so glad if you would let me know.
Superb building!

The interface between air and ground has no thickness at all. So why do I always find room for my aircraft there ?

Dear Liz,

thank you - I`ve got both of them in same scale, but sorry I`ve got no pictures when they fly together in same time. In my region I`m only the one with a 1/3 Moazagotl.  Next event, when we are flying with friends, I try to get a flight with my Moazagotl and Minimoa of my friend to take pictures, promise I try it.  Both gliders are very well flying, Minimoa wingspan = 226,5 inch (5,66m), weight =  18 Kg (36 pounds), scale = 1:3
I will let you know, when I have any pictures with both model - here below my Minimoa ( Mini Moazagotl = Minimoa )

Cheers
