In one of my books of Spanish Civil war aircraft is a 3 view of a DH80 moth in a really cool colour scheme which was used to promote the alternatve left wing olympics in Barcelona in 36 (which didn't actually happen).

I have just seen a very grainy picture on a kit box on the internet so there are pictures... But I've never seen them.  Does anyone have any?

Laurence
Somebody built one of these a few years ago but I can't remember who - Reg Boor? Very pretty but the photo docs were weak.

Thanks Bill. It would be more for interest and possibly a sport model or even kitscale, than a full on comp model..  I've got enough subjects for competition models lined up!!

Darn you Laurence, you have piqued my curiosity Cheesy
I assume this is the resin kit that you refer to, that may have more colour info enclosed. You could make a darn good guess from that one photo and side view. I would hazard a guess that the wings are silver dope with just the large registration, possibly on just one wing.

For others to see....

Omega Models DH80A Spainish

Available from Hannants in the UK, but at £44 you would have to be keen to buy the resin kit just to get the decal sheet(to scan and resize). Perhaps you can get the decals alone from the Czech Republic? Hannants.

Ian

Thanks - yes thats what I saw.  I've got the following. But the tiny photo on that box is the only one I've ever seen.  And I was wondering if anyone had anything better.

Nothing new, but the same three view and pic are here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/394728/thread/1191259261/Olimpiada+Popular+1936
Perhaps the photo's at least a bit bigger. Must be another one somewhere you'd have thought.
