Looking good Dan  Smiley
Getting quite sentimental about things with the lockdown and all .... reminds me of the last few times when Vic Smeed attended Old Warden. Heavy sigh.

Last nasty little bit of carving done! Fus ready for tissue, if I can stop dithering over a scheme...

Cheers,

Dan.

Nearing the finish line at last! Just that little wing LE/cabin top fairing to carve and she's ready for paint.

Cheers,

Dan.

Very nice, a charming model.
+1, but for some reason I was expecting it to be a shade of red.  The blue is very much nicer.

Thanks all! Just finished that last little bit of carving, so all that remains is to cut some masks and spray! Here's another pic of Vic Smeed's classic. Ever since I saw my first MAP Plans Handbook in about 1977, I've loved the simple and elegant lines of the Pushy Cat. I'm really pleased with this little version so far, so I'll probably bugger it up at the paint stage!

Cheers,

Dan.

I built one around 1965. I took it down to the local park to fly it but it was windy. I can still hear the crack as the wing broke in the middle while I was holding it. I built another around 1980 when we lived near Dartmoor and again, I can see it clearly, circulating somewhere near Baskerville Manor.

Bad luck Bill. The Esaki on this is the colour I always imagined the Fred Longbon Puss Moth "Baltic Blue" to be before I saw other examples.

Cheers,

Dan.

Hi Dan. No,  it's nothing like! I, too, have had to imagine 'Baltic Blue' on Widget, until I saw the model built by Eddie Riding in the original paint!

I was planning on bits of blue down the sides, too. I'd cut the masks and everything. I didn't realise I'd not applied them until I'd started spraying. Doh!

Cheers,

Dan.
