After some trying I was successfully able to dynamic soaring on a smaller hill.

On rcgroups and rcuniverse, there's a Danish guy who does DS at sand dunes and treelines. Goes by "SpeedsterDen", or something like that.

Yes, I have watched many of his videos.  Based on one of his videos I purchased an Alula but I couldn't get it to DS on one dam that I tried. He said the flat spot on top of dam would probably take a more efficient glider. 

I think he had one video where there was no slope in front at all, just flew on the backside by a road.
