The next one of the Warbirds for VMC.

Since BF109 schemes are pretty complicated in terms of the finish required (and certainly not easily done with a tissue finish) plus the fact that these are meant to be simple models meant I could not see the point with going with a "real" scheme, therefore the one as suggested in the kit is this simplified version of all over grey, with the yellow nose and rudder.
Like all of the others it is 18" span, and the canopy moulding will be included in the kit, as will both colours of tissue.

I had some recent flights with the prototype in the back end of last years indoors sessions, but I broke the spinner.  Last time at Peterborough a few weeks back I couldn't get it fly until I realised late on that of course I had put a new prop on and forgot about the nose weight that the now missing spinner was providing - doh! Embarrassed  I then tried an ROG that never happened and the prototype got re-kitted hitting the leg of a trolley (table and trolley legs are death to leading edges aren't they?!)

This was just after I almost totalled the Jodel, in hindsight I should have quit there I think!

Cheers

Andrew

Looking nice Andrew,

You could do one of the Legion Condor schemes, which is mostly grey. Black and white trim. Perhaps a bit too grey?

Cheers Guys....

Hi Ian nice to hear from you.  yeah, trying to get something simple and yet "stand-out-ish" was the problem.  I saw a fair few schemes but the yellow details just makes and otherwise bland scheme stand out.....

This ones just for display Russ .... yep I know but.......
