Pretty quiet in Power Model land at the moment. I've been slowly crafting a couple of 1/2A models; An Own Design in a sort of classic style (Ame 049) A 1/2A Train for the Golden Age event (Cox TD) I built a 1/2A Train some years back, and didn't make a very good job of it. The new one is better already, and I'll be recycling the fuselage, which was OK on the old one. A couple of pics to show progress.

Nice work as usual JB.
About all I've done over the past six months, apart from swanning around here and there, is to build a 1964 SLOW WORM 1/2A by Dave Hipperson. Has only been hand glided and still needs the fuel proofing to go onto it.

Very nice work, Nigel, especially the maple leaf/Al Jupp emblem.
A little more progress on 1/2A Train. JB

Thanks JB. I did the maple leaf on my printer with white tissue after reading the tutorial by Bob De Shields.

John, when you sheet elliptical tips does the wood conform, or do you put a few spanwise slits in the sheet?

I use very light, pliable wood, Robin, and damp the outside a bit when it goes on. It seems to work OK, but fully sheeting an elliptical wing would be another matter.

They're coming along Nigel, both are in the covering process at present. Esaki on 1/2A Train, and Esaki over mylar on the other.
