Hello all,

I got an EBM Stinson reliant kit recently, and have all of the frames mostly completed (I will post pictures when I can; maybe Tuesday at best).

It's now time for that most wonderful part of model building, choosing a color scheme. Does anyone have a relatively simple one that they can recommend? Also, have any of you built this kit before/do you have any advice?

I haven't built that model, but here is a really nice scheme with some interesting backstory:

Lots of different Stinson Reliants.  Do you know which version you've got there: SR-6, SR-7, SR-8, SR-9, SR-10 ?

This one?

They say its an SR-10 but the bumped cowling on an SR-10 is a bit unusual.   The V-77 is military (or ex-military) beefed up version of SR-10.  Here's photo of simple scheme on a V-77.

Mark,
 INTERESTING photo!
Two classic aircraft, a "so ugly that it's beautifiul" Plymouth Valiant and a 50's Ford(?), beyond. Makes me want to see what else is hiding nearby. Rather easy scheme on the V-77,. The smooth cowl is easier model than the bumps, too.

Hey all,

Thanks for the suggestions. I really like the Shell one, but that's going to be a bit hard to do with tissue paper.

I'm thinking of going military, probably this one. I would do the one Mark posted, but I just finished an EBM taylorcraft in pretty much the same color scheme. Looks good, though.

That's a great looking USAAF Paint Scheme.
