I have just finished building Edge 540 NoCal short kit from P.T.Aviation.
http://ptaviationmodels.com/This kit is a 'SHORT' kit, so need to prepare some balsa sticks.
I used 1.6mm sq wood for fuse and stab, and 1.8mm sq wood for wing spars, all 5-7 lbs hobby shop wood.
I modified the bearing (sheet brass) like Harlan's. Harlan bearings are precision sawn and that's the reason why they are the BEST. My bearing is just only snipped open the end.
I changed the prop to a lighter one because I don't like shaving it. Green prop is TSUBAME 15cm and cut the tip to 14cm.
The finished model was too nose heavy, so I had to glue tail weight. With about 0.8grams tail weight, the model weighs about 6.0g now. It will become 6.2g or so at the flight test stage.
