Last weekend we had our swiss rubber power autumn meeting in Olten. For the second time we were allowed to use the glider airfield "Gheid" in Olten. Thanks a lot! The sun was there, many old and new faces, but also the wind.... The plan was to fly as much as possible in the morning as long as the wind was still sleeping As you can see in the pictures, it worked out quite well. There was plenty of flying and a wide variety of different models in action. Arround lunch time, the wind was just to strong to fly out models savely. Therefore we had lunch and chatted about our new projects. A big thank you! goes to Thomas Hofer, our superb fotographer of the day! Look at these gorgeous pictures he shared with us.... If everything goes well, the next meeting will be held in spring 2018. News will follow as soon as the date and place ist set. Roman

Hello Roman and all, happy to see you had a good time last Sunday with an excellent photographer substituting you Roman. So you had a day off and could do nothing else than flying I choose to attend another get-together slightly less far to drive than Olten, only 450km and not 650. Maybe next spring.... Urs

Urs, I did not take a single picture that day.... Time for flying was too short. It would be nice to see you again on one of our meetings in switzerland. I will inform you as soon as I have the date.
Will you come to Nijmegen?
Roman

The next two rubber power meetings in switzerland will be on: 17. March 2018 in Schafisheim (between Olten and Zuerich)
20. October 2018 on the airfield "Gheid" near OltenNo contest, just for fun! Visitors and participants are welcomed. If someone is interested, pm me and I will forward you the necessary details to find us. Otherwise you will have to wait for the pictures here in this thread... All models flown must be rubber or Co2 powered. Best regards Roman

Last weekend we had our spring meeting on a new field. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side... The forecast was right, first windy then rain...
But we used the short window for some flights. Here are some pictures of it:
Best regards Roman

Looks like a good meeting, Roman. Thanks for sharing the pics. but surely some mistake... first windy then rain...
Are you SURE you were in Switzerland? The sky seems to be the wrong colour.

Pete, I am afraid it was in switzerland... But it was not in my area... It was a completely new situation for me, I know rain and clouds only from TV.... Awful... On monday we started a petitition for a referendum "We want the sun back". They had to give in, and this weekend it was sunny again. It's so easy in switzerland Roman

Spring meeting switzerland Last saturday we held our rubbber power spring meeting in switzerland. As forecasted, there was a lot of sun, but also strong and gusty wind. Some of the pilots were brave enough to fly anyway. Dont tell it anybody, I chickened out after on flight and concentrated more on chatting and taking pictures. Surprisingly there was only minor damage in the fleet

Two weeks ago we had our outumn meeting in switzerland. Against the ordered nice weather, it was raining and winding most of the day. We hat to work on that for the next time. But despite the bad weather, we met in Olten and discussed the newest project. In the afternoon, it was even possible to fly some of the planes.
