I thought people might be interested in this short video of my VMC Tripe flying in Australia a couple of weeks back.  It needed a little more noseweight which cured the slight stall in the next flight.  I got an ROG off the model box in the foreground but unfortunately the wife missed the beginning of the flight.  Power is 4 strands of 5/32 which it needs to cope with the drag and all the noseweight!

I suspected that the design might have a little too much incidence and moderated it with 1/16 washout on all wings - so this has reduced average angle of attack and given it a very stable stall as you can see in the video.

I have an evil plan to build a non-kit version of this model using all the tricks to keep the weight right down and pump up the duration using thinner rubber.

A surprisingly viable model and a real credit to our Andrew.

Excellent video, Mike!  Very majestic flight. Makes one wonder if there's an
Albatros D-III lurking in the clouds somewhere. Very cool.

Very nice flight - impressive with all that drag. Andrew's good design work shows up as well.
