Peck Cub - Stealth build!

This is my take on the Peck clipped wing Cub. The build was started on Wednesday night and conducted by stealth and under cover of darkness due to being a birthday present for Gwyn Avenell of Avetek (Avalanche here on HPA). Didn't quite get it finished in time but I presented him with these bones last night and then took them back to finish it off.
Gwyn is a master builder of large radio scale models. To give some idea, his 1/4 scale Hawker Fury has actual aluminium panels all around the nose and forward fuselage formed by hand on an English wheel - that's dedication. In recent times Gwyn's modelling interests have expanded to include Free Flight scale and indoor but I thought he needed some encouragement to try a Peanut - hence the Cub.
Construction is 1/20. ribs are thin indoor wood I had. Weight so far is 2.2g so we could be looking at around 6g complete.
One of the photos below is of a good source of wire for indoor use - guitar strings. Really fine music wire. I bought 3 strings the other day for a total of $6 at thicknesses of 0.2mm, 0.225mm and 0.25mm. Ideal for peanut undercarriages

just an update to close this out. it came in at 6g AUW. One brief trim flight revealed the need for a sliver of down thrust and a little less right rudder. 2nd flight about 1000 turns (1/16 rubber). After about 2 minutes into the flight it lodged in the top of a tree 12m up. lashed together everything I could find and put a hook on it. Unfortunately the branch came down with the model..... End of story.

That's a real bummer!
Any pics of the completed bird before it took to its tree?

Sorry to hear of the accident...
Can the Pub be repaired?
I would also be looking forward to see a picture of the finished model.

yes it can thanks. one wing is ripped off halfway up its length. one side of the TP is broken and one lower longeron is gone in the bay just aft of the wing. Certainly repairable but i have to get in the mood. I really hate re-work!!
