Always loved the unusual vertical stab/rudder on this bird and so I thought I'd build it after the Pseudo-Dimer Hellcat. So here's the pics of the almost finished Arado. Just need to finish the camopy framework and a couple panels lines and she'll be done. The canopy is made from four panels of cellophane. I found a roll of this at the Dollar store. It's the very thin flexible sheet stuff that the cardboard box window are made of for pastries.

Wonderful looking Arado, Tom. Really like the basic color scheme as it sets off the detailing and your panel lines. Also cool to see pilots & co pilots in these dimers.

That pilot looks awfully suspicious, are you sure he's not stealing that beautiful ship?

Thanks Glen and Skyraider... Just a little photoshop magic to put my face on the pilot and co-pilot. I think you're right he's permanently borrowing the plane!!!

Love the Arado Tom, I built this plane 10 years ago from the comet plans and it still fly's like she's on rails, I will post a pic of it.
Cheers, Ray K.

Well finished Tom. It always amazes me how much character the finish adds.

Any of you Arado builders out there have the full complete plan? I mean not the one with the missing right wingtip. I sure would like to get a copy for my archives. Any help would be most appreciated. I can be reached through PM, or email. Thanks in advance.

I was perusing Outerzone and the Ar 96V by Tom Houle has come up several times ... in 18" span, it's a looker.
Of note, the short writeup on Oz states this model (the Arado) was drawn as a testbed for a 6' rubber powered version (that's 72 inches(!)).
Did Tom Houle ever design such a beast? If so, where can I find or buy the plans?
Regards- Dave
