I'm hoping to get to at least one of these dates. Are tables provided or should I bring my own ? It would be useful to know the ceiling height too  Smiley

Hi Mefot, you'd be very welcome.

It costs £6 for flyers (juniors are free.) Flyers need BMFA Insurance.

The hall is 32x34m and about 7m ceiling height. That equates to 8 badminton courts and it's big enough for both Free Flight and Micro R/C (no Quads, Helis or Shockies allowed though I'm afraid.)

There are some tables but they are the plastic folding type like this:

It's probably a good idea to bring one if you can (I personally find them too chunky for my stooge clamp  Roll Eyes)

This might help you judge the size: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1ArQG0gcBQ

Thanks Jon,

I hope to make a few of those, and I hope to see you there  Grin

For anyone that hasn’t been there, the Hall is very good, and there is a Greggs 5 mins walkaway for coffee and a lunch time fill up if your belly rumbles  Grin.

BTW The PMFC always give a warm welcome to newcomers.

Yes, thanks for the list!

I've noted the dates down, but only for special trimming ops as it is a 4.5hr round trip for me for only 3hrs of flying  Shocked

Just a reminder that this weekend is the first PMFC Indoor event at Bushfield on Saturday morning 10am-1pm.

Unfortunately we clash with the Alfreton meeting but you have an hour to get from one to the other!  Shocked Grin

I think your pass might be safe, Nigel!  Smiley
I'm already doing the Peterborough, home and then Impington the next day routine ..... more than enough for me!

Only an aeromodelling 'Phil Collins' (Live Aid) like Pete Fardell would contemplate it I think  Tongue

It's a real shame, Jon .... I think I will just sit on my own and build at this rate. Alone, but I can't see me being alone in this ... if yer get me ....
I can't see the Indoor Nats happening now, but I will just help again if it does.

Its a shame but the right decision. I think we should be looking Old Warden Scale Weekend as a possible return- expect a long ride

I'm hoping that you are wrong, Chris ... but knowing that you are most probably right.  Undecided (about the Old Warden return)

I wouldn't get your hopes up guys...BMFA have just cancelled the outdoor f/f nats so I think the indoor comp will go the same way....

Good thought Russ, ( don't we always build alone ?) we have to take any positives we can from this and the Mooney cook up looks great fun  Grin

Yes, I work alone and to an extent spend down time alone.
My Achilles heel is my café addiction!
I've just been discussing this with my wife .... when the weather picks up I hope to set up Café Russ outside my modelling shed. We just need to adapt!

I must admit that I was hoping for a Nassise cook up too ... perfectly happy with Pete's initiative though.

Actually, now you mention that we always build alone. Almost a tear to my eye when I recall better times at the Nats.
A row of tables in the hanger with adults and children building peanuts, BMFA Darts and the like.
Dan enjoying indoor flights and beer in (almost) equal amounts!
More drinking by the bar ... shockies buzzing around at the RC end.

Happy times ..... pass me the tissues!

Those times are not past just thrown into the future

I have to say I like the idea of indoor flying and drinking in equal amounts... ooops got side tracked there

Definitely a good idea, Russ; I'm a café  addict myself. Café Pete will also be opening soon at the end of my garden.
