I decided I wanted to build a NO-CaL after seeing all the fun at the UK NATs.

I wasn't really heading for a competition winner, just something that looks nice.
I figured it was a fun class anyhow, so go for something I like.

I built a little 1/144 Fokker from paper a while back and I have been taken by the shape, so I decided to build one of those.

I'm not a great fan of tissue for covering and I don't think I made a great job of this one.
I painted it with a brush which ended up adding a load of weight.
Ideally I'd have got some tissue the correct tan shade to start with Sad

I downloaded a few plans of the E.III and resized and printed them out.

This is where I've ended up.

Got the undercarriage to go and then to put it all together.

Nice!  I like your artwork; the cowling reflections and hint of airframe structure look very good.  Your E.III has a nice sized wing, so it should fly just fine. Are you planning to use a plastic prop?  Be sure to post images when it's completed!  No-cals are tremendous fun.

Prop will be balsa, not plastic.
I took a few more steps forward last night.
Will put up some more pic tomorrow.
It's a tad overweight.
