Yep!

I don't know this but I suspect that the assembly process is to push the tube into the barrel then with a bolt drive it back out until it is flush with the barrel end. I suspect this last step was over looked. Is the the over tube now flush with the barrel end (see reply 18, photo 4)?

What bugs me with the other forums is that their solution to issues like your is to replace the carb. When the cost of a carb is often 1/2 the cost of the engine. To my mind "Carburetor" is not French for leave alone!

Yes, all flush and sorted. Engine runs nicely now and I've tuned in a good transition. Once again, many thanks for your help it's been much appreciated.
