Hello Dear People

I am interested in building an Aeroflyte - Messerschmitt Bf 109, the 39 inch wing span version.  There is a plan posted on this web site that has wing flaps hand drawn on it, but no actual wing plan.

I am wondering if someone might have a wing plan for this model?

The wing is constant chord, so should present few difficulties if you've made a built up wing previously.

The only fly in the ointment is the preformed leading edge, which may be hard to source. I'd be inclined to use 1" sq for the LE and only shape the front side, the ribs then straight to meet the LE.

What engine are you using? 39" is pretty small for a .35. A modern .15 will pull that much wing with ease, Keep the weight to under 20 0z and you'll go OK.

IIRC, the Sterling profile P-51 and the Yak 9 both have 38" spans. Both were/are flapped and my Yak 9 is one of my favorite models from, mid to late 1960's time frame. It was my first "big" control line model I flew it constantly over a couple of seasons, crashes, repairs, etc. Powered by 5.95 McCoy.35 Redhead it proved a reliable, steady flyer. I never had a problem with  he engine, either. Later I picked up several more McCoys because the guys were afraid of the bad reputation. A couple of bucks or Free was a great price for a GREAT Engine! Ended up 3 or4 and All ran great. Later bought an unfinishef Ring Master with same engine mounted McCoy. Didn't even take it off to cover and dope. it to ran well Sad to say that model and the majority of my CL stuff was stolen from my apt lock-up".
