I decided to build David Sciglano's cub and thought it would look good as Hazel Sig's clipped wing version. I started with the printed tissue, I have sent the files to be uploaded to the plan gallery. Tissue is on 4 sheets of 8 1/2 x 14 and one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11. Picture of my tissue was on 11 x 17.
Now on to gluing sticks !

We have a wing, lately I have been covering as I go it seems to keep me motivated on the build. I made a couple of minor changes to the plan mainly adding a lower spar to keep the wing from bowing over time and a few gussets here and there.

Looks great!
I've been covering as I build lately for the same reasons.  It also helps keep me focused on one build at a time.

That's a famous Cub in real life and in Scig's plan. Very tempting.

It's not a Cub without fat tires, hubcaps, and the engine sticking out.

That looks so nice.

I would be tempted to fly it first and then add struts to note the difference  Smiley

A Bostonian take on the Taylorcraft, in the background?   I like your general aviation subjects!

Nice job. Looks scale and would look more so with the struts. Just a darn nice build.

You seem to have made that in about 9 days.  That is remarkable by my standards.  And of course it looks so good.

On the tissue did you chalk the reverse side as it looks very white?  And is it doped?

With a couple of days off, they build up pretty fast. The tissue is lightly sprayed on the back with Design Master flat white. For clear I use Tree House matt clear acrylic.

Several of the days were full days much to the dismay of the wife.
