I've had a few notes from Tony with regards the UK Nationals.
Whilst the event is taking place, it appears that the costs are a little more than are covered by entries.
This was the latest request for sport fliers to attend as well to help out.
I thought I'd pass it on here.

For those who have entered this year's Indoor Duration Nationals, many thanks - we're looking forward to it!

However as I think you will know we have had to book quite an expensive venue - Lee Valley Athletics Centre in Edmonton, the confirmed entry numbers are low and this leaves us with a shortfall that I believe we have to try and bridge.

Lee Valley is a large site, the roof slopes lengthways from front(30') to back (22'). We shall fly the Nationals events along the high side split as usual between "heavy" and "lightweight" models.

In order to utilise the rest of the available space we would like to invite anyone who would like to sport fly under the low ceiling side .
Only rubber powered indoor duration models up to 10 grams or rubber powered scale models may be flown.

If you are interested please contact me in the first instance, flying will be from 0900 to 1700 at £20 per day.

I have added the addresses of the organisers of other general meetings in the hope that you might circulate your own e:mail lists - hope this is OK.

The results are in; a worthy winner Mr Tony Hebb.
I managed joint second along with Mark Benns.

Good to see FiN with as many entries as F1L - seven.
Biggest class was the ever popular Limited Penny Plane.

Times for the top six UK NATS F1L places - less than a minute between 1st and 6th.
There is some pretty even competition there.
1/2 motors in a low CATII ceiling.

Place   best 2 flights
1   14:32
2   14:13
3   13:54
4   13:51
5   13:38
6   13:24
