Has there been any info on this, other than the initial announcement almost immediately after the last one?

No info yet on here as far as I know, but I emailed recently to double-check before booking my accommodation, and the reply was that the event is on.

I emailed Roel and the IIFI email address recently too: no reply to either although the original invite did say the final schedule will be sent mid-October. I assume then the entry details will be sent well before then (i.e. now) as clearly entry numbers will dictate that schedule.......

I replied to the earlier mail advertising the event, but there were no application forms in the mail.
I mailed back advising this and the reply came back that further info would follow later but I could enter via the web page.
I decided to do this as no money was involved.
The web address I was given is as follows.
https://forms.gle/oPYmRobbVY9KayrM9
I have, as said made my entry but I do not know if it has been accepted or received.
I guess they know what they are doing but it it getting very close to November now.
Hope this helps

Past experience has shown they are pretty dependable, I see nor reason for worry or doubt. I follow the event facebook page too. They did say they were going to send / upload entry forms and this is still to come. But nothing negative has been posted either, so  think it is normally underway...

I agree with George and have no doubt at all that it’s all in hand. If anyone feels like worrying about something though then why not put that nervous energy into getting some more models finished?

(Or perhaps it’s only me who’s not quite ready yet?)

I don't think anyone has said they are worried - just waiting for info before booking a ferry

Apparently facebook was much easier to see and reply. I imagine they will post here too.

Bernarnd is not the event organiser this year, Roel is.

He replied that more info will come out by the end of the week. I Imagine the full schedule.

Anyway, regarding bookings etc, it is still valid that we have acces from Friday noon until Sunday, the main competition being on Saturday and Sunday.

Hope that helps...

Cheers George, that tallies exactly with what I've been informed.

The main thing now is to get those pesky models ready!  Grin

Just to make sure, since it wasn't posted anywhere.

I imagine those involved have already received per email the information buletin that was sent last week...

Yes, got it thanks! Not long now. Just need to get the entry form in.
(I rather like the included ‘reserve model’ concept whereby you can substitute a spare model if you wreck your best one in the early rounds.)

Yes, we had a meeting and I'm afraid you're banned this year.  Grin

Only kidding. I've just forwarded you the recent bulletin, assuming your email address (that I got off one of the other scale emails) was the right one.

Just found out that the hotel Tim and I usually stay in ('Sous les Eglises') is booked up. I have the accomodation list from Roel, but if anyone else going has any hotel recommendations please could they PM me. Thanks

Not a chance that I would ever be able to go, but I look forward to the results ... whenever that might be ... and good luck to those entering .... whoever they might be  Wink

Thanks all! Turned out we could've squeezed into the Sous les Eglises after all but only if we shared a bed. It worked well for Eric and Ernie of course, but all things considered I've now booked us into the Rozenhof instead. Thanks for the info Graham and Jon. It was possibly Jon's "food is excellent" that swung it, although I have to say it will do well to top the pub next to the old place.

Anyway, not long to go now. Who's bringing a trimmed model?

Who's bringing a trimmed model?
Well, last night I was glueing the tail on one of my models and thought I'd throw it around the garden to check the trim. It stalled a bit so I stuck some packing under the tail TE. It was no better so in went some more, and more. I gave up when it nearly looped and it's sitting there this morning with about -5 degrees. It was about 3am when I suddenly sat up in bed...
Time to take up trainspotting.

Hi Nijmegen

I have flown once or twice at Buckminster.. distance is a bit prohibitive though. My usual flying field is 1min drive away!

Cheers
